{"id":6182,"date":"2024-05-21T14:13:18","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T14:13:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.minader.cm\/?p=6182"},"modified":"2024-05-23T07:42:45","modified_gmt":"2024-05-23T07:42:45","slug":"21-st-to-30-th-may-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.minader.cm\/index.php\/2024\/05\/21\/21-st-to-30-th-may-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"21 st to 30 th May 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Forecasts and Dekadal Climate Alerts for the  Period from 21st to 30th May 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This dekadal climate early warning bulletin n\u00b0 189 is obtained by exploiting spatial data collected from major <span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">international centres involved in day-to-day follow-up of climate science, notably: the International Research Institute for <\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">Climate and Society (IRI) of the University of Columbia (USA); the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration <\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">(NOAA, USA); AccuWeather (American Weather Forecasting Agency, USA); the regional Agro-Hydro-Meteorology centre <\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">(AGRHYMET), spatial data from 1979 to 2022, relating to Ocean Surface Temperature (OST) in the Atlantic and Pacific, El Ni\u00f1o\/La Nina episode intensities in the Pacific, rainfall and temperature data from local stations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finally, NOCC would like to <span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">express its gratitude to all these international Institutions as well as the National Center for Meteorology for the goodwill <\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">demonstrated in sharing data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This bulletin highlights the historical climatic conditions from 1979 to 2022, as well as the climatic forecasts for all the <span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">five Agro-ecological zones of Cameroon for the dekad from 21st to 30th May 2024. This early warning brief further <\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">underscores the risks, threats and potential impacts expected in the different socio-economic development sectors of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">Cameroon.
